Assuming the NFL Lite has 32 teams, the NFL could change


its eligibility rules so players could be drafted right out of HS. So the NFL Draft could resemble the MLB Draft where teams draft a player and start him out in the minor league. A minor league draft could take place at a later date and be similar to how the NHL minor league drafts operate. FWIW some players on a NHL minor league are the property of the minor league team and not the NHL team. If the NHL team would like to acquire that player's rights from the minor league team, then I believe they have to pay for those rights. The NFL Lite would probably need to do something similar so teams could fill out their rosters.

As far as the Redskins go, they would trade up to the #1 pick and use it to select UVA-Lynchburg in case they ever decide to join the NFL Lite League. ;-)
